Modular Units

Each level consists of six life skills modules and every module contains a “core” lesson that all participants must be exposed to. The core lessons are suitable for delivery to any age group. In addition, the each module includes optional activities. Some give participants additional practice in the core life skills; some are designed for participants 12 and older; others deal with the application of life skills to non-golf situations at home or school.

*Please note that the Par and Birdie class are combined for this session*

Target: 5-6 yr. old, Beginner classes, Monday 4:00 PM-5:00 PM, September 10 – October 15
PLAYer: 7 & older, Beginning classes, Monday 5:15 PM – 6:30 PM, September 10 – October 15
Par I-III: 9 & older, Player Certified Only, Tuesday 5:15 PM -6:30 PM, September 11 – October 16
Birdie: 11 & older, Tuesday 5:15 PM- 6:30 PM, September 11 – October 16

Fee: $60 for 6 lessons

The 40th Annual Phil Wallace Holiday Classic Junior Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, December 22nd at River Bend YMCA Golf Course in Shelby. This competition, open to boys and girls, has attracted top junior golfers from the Carolinas and surrounding states since 1976. The Phil Wallace Holiday Classic Junior Golf Championship emphasizes the importance that education plays in our young peoples’ lives.
